Selbu fair
A fair with a good mixture of culture and sales. Booths emphasizing traditional crafts. Entertainment and dancing. The Selbu fair is an annual event taking place in the end of June/ start of July. Hosted by the Selbu theater forum.

Sporting events
Recreational ski events and foot races are held at regular intervals all year, including:
- Rensfjellsrennet, the longest and oldest recreational ski race in the northern mountains.
- Jøvrarennet.
- Kvernfjellrennet.
- Selbuløpet, one of Trøndelag's most renowned recreational foot races.
- Kubjørgtrimmen
The Selbu handball cup is played in the downtown school area every year in June.
In the Selbu sports hall, one can experience top handball with Selbu's handball women - even throughout winter.
